We Are The Walrus (Formerly: Revolver), Saturday 11/17 $5
The Ogden-based Beatles tribute band Revolver played to an enthusiastic full house at the newly opened Copper Club in the city’s historic district.
People from four corners of the world and from several generations were dancing to the band, which was doing justice to material known and loved throughout the world.
The five-piece band, who focuses on the sound that made the Mop-Tops famous, rather than trying to look the part, dress in vintage gear to set the tone.
The band nails it as it recreates such classics as “Help” and “Come Together” and also pull out choice lesser-knowns like “I Dig a Pony” and “I Me Mine.”
The diversity of the clubbers dancing and singing along with these timeless songs well demonstrates the reach the Beatles music has had on pop music. If you love the Beatles, catch Revolver the next time they play near you.
